Busca-se reconstruir as principais contribuições conceituais de Husserl para o tema do desenvolvimento subjetivo. Investiga-se a noção de pessoalidade em sentido lato e estrito e reconhece-se como atua aí uma base instintivo-afetivo sobre a qual eleva-se (no caso da pessoalidade humana) uma camada de atos guiados por motivações racionais. Explora-se também como nesse nível de pessoalidade, configura-se a possiblidade do desenvolvimento ético. Por fim, são discernidos os níveis de análise genérico e individual para o estudo do desenvolvimento pessoal.

The aim is to reconstruct Husserl's main conceptual contributions to the theme of subjective development. It investigates the notion of personhood in a broad and strict sense and recognizes how an instinctive-affective base is active, on which a layer of acts guided by rational motivations rises (in the case of human personhood). It also explores how ethical development is possible at this level of personhood. Finally, the generic and individual levels of analysis for the study of personal development are discerned.

A consciência interna do tempo e sua modificação gradual nos estágios da esquizofrenia inicial, segundo Klaus Conrad

O seguinte estudo tem por objetivo resgatar a evolução do surto esquizofrênico, como descrito por Conrad e traçar uma hermenêutica temporal, de inspiração husserliana, com a finalidade de apreender os distintos fenômenos em questão sob tal ótica. Para tal traço uma breve situação da obra de Conrad, seu diagnóstico de crise das ciências e seu método de análise gestáltica. Situo também o desenvolvimento da temporalidade, como proposto por Husserl em seu “Vorlesungen zur Phänomenologie des inneren Zeitbewußtseins” (1985) e alguns conceitos centrais, como o de afecção. Em seguido tento traçar uma leitura que passa pelas distintas fases do surto inicial esquizofrênico, sob a tese da centralidade de uma alteração funcional/ estrutural da temporalidade para compreensão dos fenômenos esboçados pelos pacientes e a sugestão de que há um padrão de alteração que opera da protensão à retenção e da transcendência da imanência em direção à imanência

The following study aims to retrieve the evolution of the early schizophrenia, as described by Conrad, and to outline a temporal hermeneutics inspired by Husserl, with the purpose of understanding the distinct phenomena in question from this perspective. To this end, I provide a brief overview of Conrad's work, his diagnosis of the crisis in the sciences, and his Gestalt analysis method. I also situate the development of temporality as proposed by Husserl in his “Vorlesungen zur Phänomenologie des inneren Zeitbewußtseins” (1985) and some central concepts, such as affection. Next, I attempt to construct a reading that traverses the different stages of the early schizophrenia, under the thesis of the centrality of a functional/structural alteration of temporality for understanding the phenomena outlined by patients, and the suggestion that there is a pattern of alteration operating from protension to retention and from transcendence of immanence to immanence.

Pretendemos mostrar como se dá, no pensamento de Sartre, a relação entre verdade e realidade, ou entre estrutura e pessoa, de modo a estabelecer uma metodologia para a compreensão da subjetividade que possa auxiliar a psiquiatria atual a não voltar a esquemas deterministas sobre as individualidades. Por meio da compreensão de temas discutidos em O ser e o nada, mostraremos que é preciso abandonar a forma causal e aritmética de pensar a unidade da pessoa e adotar uma perspectiva de circularidade entre diversas camadas de todo e parte.

We intend to show how, in Sartre's thinking, the relationship between truth and reality, or between structure and person, occurs, in order to establish a methodology for understanding subjectivity that can help the current psychiatry not to return to deterministic schemes about individualities. By understanding the themes discussed in Being and Nothingness, we will show that it is necessary to abandon the causal and arithmetic way of thinking about the unity of the person and adopt a perspective of circularity between different layers of whole and part.

Nesse artigo, pretendemos trabalhar a hipótese de que a noção de estrutura, proposta por Merleau-Ponty, permite conceber uma articulação intrínseca entre as ideias de desenvolvimento e de pessoa – em termos mais gerais, entre unidade e diferença. Nesse sentido, ela permite explicitar uma dimensão comum entre a unidade implicada na configuração da pessoalidade e a mudança implicada na configuração do desenvolvimento. Mais ainda, como veremos, ela evidencia a reversibilidade primária que torna ambas reciprocamente constitutivas.

In this article, we intend to work on the hypothesis that the notion of structure, proposed by Merleau-Ponty, allows us to conceive of an intrinsic articulation between the ideas of development and person – in more general terms, between unity and difference. In this sense, it allows us to make explicit a common dimension between the unity implied in the configuration of personality and the change implied in the configuration of development. Furthermore, as we will see, it highlights the primary reversibility that makes both reciprocally constitutive.

O movimento internacional de busca pela renovação do paradigma em saúde mental tem na obra psicopatológica do psiquiatra-filósofo alemão Karl Jaspers uma grande inspiração. Da vastidão desta obra, destaca-se uma noção central para uma nova compreensão de psicopatologia: o estudo longitudinal da personalidade adulta, identificada por Jaspers como biografia. Procurei mostrar como Jaspers organizou o seu conceito de biografia a partir de um diálogo com a obra de Emil Kraepelin. Investigo os pontos de afastamento e aproximação entre ambos os autores, no que se refere aos modos de se captar a progressão da personalidade ao longo do tempo. Destaco a relação dialética que Jaspers teve com a herança kraepeliniana, conservando desta alguns elementos intelectuais, mas sobretudo procurando superá-la, a partir de uma visão existencialista. Concluo identificando aquilo que denomino dialética interrompida de Jaspers. Esta constitui um movimento paradoxal de Jaspers na construção do seu conceito de biografia, cujas consequências examino brevemente.

The interrupted dialectic

The international movement to renew the mental health paradigm is greatly inspired by the psychopathological work of German psychiatrist-philosopher Karl Jaspers. From the vastness of this work, a central notion for a new understanding of psychopathology stands out: the longitudinal study of the adult personality, identified by Jaspers as biography. I tried to show how Jaspers organised his concept of biography based on a dialogue with the work of Emil Kraepelin. I investigate the points at which the two authors move apart and come closer together, in terms of the ways of capturing the progression of the personality over time. I emphasise the dialectical relationship that Jaspers had with Kraepelin's heritage, retaining some of its intellectual elements, but above all seeking to overcome it from an existentialist point of view. I conclude by identifying what I call Jaspers' interrupted dialectic. This is a paradoxical move by Jaspers in the construction of his concept of biography, the consequences of which I briefly examine.
