Epistemological-critical notations about the Binswangerian Daseinsanalysis

Given the little presence of the binswangerian thought in Brazil and, more specifically, about his epistemology, one justifies the importance of this paper. Thus, it aims to critically approach three fundamental epistemological aspects for understanding such sketch of science. In first place, one will present the affiliation of Binswanger with the Phenomenological Method as a whole and its possible application on Psychopathology. After, one will discuss the important distinction between Daseinsanalysis and the Analitics of the Dasein, showing convergences and divergences of our psychopathologist’s thought from the heiggederian one. At last, one will show from where departs the conception of normal and pathological, according to the author. One will finish concluding that, althought there are some epistemological problems, Binswanger is right in some other aspects and is indeed a valid author for working on Psychopathology through the phenomenological bias.
